Fremantle Dockers New headquarters Cockburn
Work has begun on the new $109 million sporting complex which will serve as Fremantle Dockers' new headquarters in the southern Perth suburb of Cockburn.
Beginning a two-year transformation of the location with construction of the Cockburn Aquatic and Recreation Facility. The centre will open in April 2018.
Fremantle Dockers chief executive Steve Rosich said he believed the complex would provide an ideal base for the AFL club.
"In scope and scale it's significant... it's around five to six times the size of the site at Fremantle Oval," Mr Rosich said.
"It's around $109 million project, and that's around about three-and-a-half times the scope and scale of the next biggest project in the AFL."
Apart from housing the Dockers' administration and training facilities, the centre will provide sport and recreational facilities for the local community.
It will feature a community indoor sports hall, health club and gym, outdoor pools and water slides.
Skyward have been awarded the Dockers Stadium which includes a large portion of Kingspan Insulated Roofing Panels and Box guttering systems. This project is over 15,000m2 of roofing coverage and Skyward are already enjoying this building challenge down at Cockburn.
Hopefully Skyward can inspire the Dockers to win their first flag, now with their very own, state of the art roofing system, that will keep them cool in summer and warm in winter.

Skyward also did the works to the refurbishment of the DPU building, which included both Colorbond roofing and tiled roofing.
